(Australia) Face to Face, is jewel I discovered at the Monaco Charity Film Festival 2011, in Monaco.
The film unfolds
like a file linen with subtle complexity and grace. The expected is replaced with the imagination, and this true life drama
keeps you tuned in and part of the believable yet shocking roots of the subject. The incident mediation unfolds, and unfolds
until the naked truth emerges about all the attendees.
Director, Writer Michael Rymer created a compelling drama, based
on a play by David Williamson. Filmed in a one room set, with a few external shots from the past story elements, the characters
develop and morph before our eyes into the truth. The simplistic yet intelligent handling of the story is a transparent victory
for the talents of Director Michael Rymer. The production was equally great from the supporting actors, to the camera angles
to the music.

"I AM SOMEBODY" The director's cut of the film has taken on a dramatically different direction since the Monaco
festival pre-screening. "A revelation dropped heaven" says Director Aki
Aleong, and a glowing new energy has encompassed the newly re-titled film. " I AM SOMEBODY
" now truly conveys the personal struggles "to be somebody" from the performances of the lead
character SING, played by Reggie Lee(Tropic Thunder),(Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ),(TV "Prison Break").

SPOTLIGHT JACK VENTURO - MOVIEGOD PRODUCTIONS
Jack
Venturo, a mild mannered reporter, and Superman of an independent filmmaker, is doing a new film called "THE
DEATH OF TEMPO". He's created a production diary to report on the film as he progresses, and in it he shows
you what gorilla film making is all about. It's a cool approach and what can we say but, Jack.... We like
your style! We're looking forward to the screening.

OSS 117, Staring french comedian
Jean Dujardin as OSS 117, is a great Bondish, Austin Powerish, Pink Pantherish French
language Comedy film. The film is based on a serious series of novels by
Jean Bruce but taken to an absurd and totally entertaining parody. It's filmed in a traditional 60's technique manner
that Bond himself would appreciate. There were a set of OSS films done in the 1950's and 60's but not with this comedic approach.

we just reviewed from ECHELON STUDIOS. This is a great idea, and a great mini-collection of dramatic & comedy short films
for you to share with your friends (cats?). The titles included are, Duel, No Menu Please, The Big Break, The Fight,
Little Wings and Don’t Leave Me. Each film stands on it's own and having them together, one after another at the click
of the remote makes watching shorts easier too. "Duel" and "Little Wings" stand out as exceptional productions,
but all 6 are worth your valuable viewing minutes. This collection hits the streets June 24 from distributor Singa Home
Entertainment, and we recommend you Cats out there check them out!

SHORT AWARD
I MET THE WALRUS is a Pop 60's Flashback inspired animation that beautifully
synchronizes the words of a John Lennon interview to vivid hand drawn, reminiscent of Monty Python-ish images. The interview
itself was done by producer Jerry Levitan at the age of 14, in 1969. This brilliant animation traces the thought patterns
from Lennon's words and takes you even a bit further. The film is a tribute to John Lennon's intellectual grasp on the concept
of Peace, and goes on to show that he was more than a stereo-typical 60's protestor, lying in a bed with YOKO ONO. This award
winning piece of ART was directed and animated by JOSH RASKIN, and produced by JERRY LEVITAN. Check out this refreshing, nostalgic
look into the Beatles era Rock Star and enjoy the creativity of animation produced by Josh Raskin . You'll be glad you did.
LUCKY MAN FILM LIFE PRODUCTION
[1996] Director: Ruvin Orbach
Here's a
Sleeper Short that you probably missed. LUCKY MAN features Frank Vincent (Good Fellas, Sopranos) and Vincent Pastore ("Big
Pussy" on Sopranos). It's written & directed by Ruvin Orbach and has a familiar east coast mob mentality feel with
a real life comedic element that really works. It's well done and leaves you wishing it went on to be a full length feature.
Ruvin Orbach has gone on to several films since, and is scheduled to direct a comedy feature called "Big Man" with
Paul Provenza (“Aristocrats”) Executive-Producing. After seeing LUCKY MAN we're sure Provenza has got a great
director in place. We're Lucky, that LUCKY MAN is being re-born and has a chance to be re-discovered by a whole new generation.

The American Cinematheque is a non-profit, viewer-supported cultural organization
dedicated exclusively to the public presentation of the Moving Picture in all its forms. The Cinematheque presents the best
of film and video - ranging form the classics to the outer frontiers of the art form. Presenting films at the Egyptian Theatre
in Hollywood and the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.
The Alex Theatre was designed by architects Charles R. Selkirk and Arthur G. Lindley and completed
in 1925 as the Alexander Theatre, a Vaudeville and motion picture house with Greek and Egyptian motifs. It stands today as
a surviving example of grand Vaudeville and movie palaces of the early 20th century and one of the very few extant theatres
with an open forecourt.
The 1,450 seat Alex Theatre is a historic, cultural and artistic treasure located at 216
